Supermarkets
Dutch supermarkets are small but efficient. Most are open until 9pm and often also on Sundays. At the market, score fresh cheese, stroopwafels and flowers.

In the Netherlands, you can drink plain tap water. It is clean, tasty and better for the environment than bottled water.
Bicycle lighting
Cycling is natural here, but don't forget your bike lights! In winter, it gets dark early and the police are quick to hand out fines!
